Who you are hiring
LunarLabs builds websites and apps for local businesses on fixed bids. You watch every stage in your own portal, and your card is only charged when you approve finished work.
Why we work this way
Most agencies sell hours. Hours are impossible for you to check and easy for us to pad, so the incentive points the wrong way from the first day.
We quote a fixed number instead. If a milestone takes longer than we thought, that is our problem, and it stays our problem until you approve the thing we said we would deliver.
It means we scope carefully and we turn down work that does not fit. It also means you know what you are spending before you spend it.
What we hold to
- 01
Nothing bills before you approve
Work is split into milestones with a price and a definition of done written down beforehand. You press approve, then the card is charged. Not the other way around.
- 02
You can see the project
Every client gets a portal with the current stage, the milestones, the staging link and the invoices. There is no version of this where you have to email someone to find out where things are.
- 03
You own what we build
Source code, infrastructure config and deploy pipelines are yours. No proprietary CMS you cannot leave, no licence that expires when you stop paying us.
- 04
We say no
If a job is a bad fit, or we are full, we tell you rather than take it and run late. Turning work down is cheaper for both of us than missing a launch.
The team
A team of three. You will know who is on your project by name.
Remote, async
Three people across timezones. Written first, meetings only when writing has failed.
One owner per project
You will know by name who is on your project and who to ask when something is wrong.
We use our own tools
The portal you log into is the same system we run the work from. If it is broken for you it is broken for us.
